Bam! said the lady.

Done as part of a request I got from a few people that seem to hate the Grunts from the game Halo, they wanted one being shot in the head with the funny as hell skull Grunt Birthday Party which, for those of you who don't know, changes the game so that when you head shot one of these cute critters their head pops with a frenzy of confetti and streamers and the sound of children shouting "YAY!!!!!!!". Personally I think they are quite adorable...

Anyway this was a painting taking about 3-4 hours, not sure if that constitutes a speed painting or not but I was tired of doing such long detailed paintings, I needed something loose to paint and thought this request was a good chance to stretch my painting skills further and experiment.

I love them buggers, although HALO 3 seems to have done a VERY good job to make them as ugly and unlovable as possible (frakking suicide-bomber grunts!). In H:CE and H2 however, they were quite kewt. :)

haha yeah it certainly lightens the mood, it also makes things a lot more funny if you add the IWHBYD skull, some of the things the enemy say are hilarious.
