Reborn by AdamBurn Reborn by AdamBurn
Ive been meaning to add to my earlier piece Novus Initium for some time, so after some time in photoshop this is the reworked version, REBORN.

It shows a proto-planetary system in its early stages of creation, a system of gas giants currently only balls of molten and solid rock but the large gas clouds around them will one day for the planets thick gaseous atmosphere.
However this systems life is cut short when the systems secondary star if pulled into the larger star causing a chain reaction that will eventually result in the destruction of the entire system.

Now that's what I call great art... At the moment I'm thinking about buying a tablet - could you recommend one?

Wacom without a doubt, the intuos3's are amazing but rather pricey but well worth it, I recomend the A5 version mainly cause its all you really need, the A4 is massive and the A3 is just plane crazy. Also if you have a widescreen monitor get the A5 Wide version it helps

Nice job on everything, especially the dust clouds around the planets and Sun's. Also, that little star at the very bottom too :star:

What I wonder is why you have not done a large-scale space battle outside of a budding solar system.

Good question, I have actually been working on one for a while now, but its taking allot longer than my usual pieces

I would figure. You are pretty fast at doing planets nowadays, even with the level of detail you put in them, not used to the ships or too much going on to really be able to keep working on that piece consistently?

it is so intense. i can really feel this piece.

absolutely wonderfully done. beautiful effects on the planets, love the gases around the planets, great detail and depth. And I love the greenish blue fractals on the distant stars. they give the piece a sense of style and realism.

one of my favourites from you, no questions asked.

Woah. You did most of the brushwork with your wacom? The glowing, waves belts and the like?

Not all the image is brush work, allot of textures and texture brushing was used but the majority of those clouds were done using a brush

Custom brushes? I'm just wondering, cause I myself just use sketchy brushwork with the mouse and try to reach an effect I like by using filters and such... Drawing detail yourself with a tablet is better and with better results I guess :)

I saw this in your gallery, and thought "WTF, hasnt this already been submitted?" (I actually thought the acronym WTF too >.<;)

The improvments are very good, your solar flares are fantastic! Ive only just started trying to do them - you are definitely a god at stars :)

However, the effects in the bottom right and left appear too overworked, and as such look lq (in my opinion, anyway), however this does not in any way take from the piece :)

Cool, yeah I have done allot of sun paintings. And that area does look alittle odd, but its mostly down to the resizing, in the full one it looks fine
