UPDATE: colour correction, brings out a bit more depth I think

My latest piece depicting a huge galaxy cluster with a very active galaxy collision as the focal point which shows a quasar in action.
This was inspired by an article I read which mentioned that all galaxy clusters in a very large area including our local cluster are all being dragged into a certain part of space. Unfortunately due to the dark dust clouds within the milkyway we cant see whats causing this but they call it the Great Attraction. So this was my idea for what it could be, a massive galaxy with a very very big supermassive blackhole at its core.

Enjoy, there will be cropped detail pieces to follow soonish.

Details:
Resolution: 16000x8000
DPI: 500
Layers: approx 100 after merging
Times redone: 3
Times Photoshop crashed: 5

I think its a neat feature - and a crafty way of filling up some empty space without having to do anything XD (Joking, you do more than enough effort :))

Do it more often - I prefer some of the works you've done that relate to each other - dno why, just seems to give it a bit more meaning.

....supermassive black hole

is that a muse reference, i think it is.

but so pretty and swooshy, the gradients of the sort of greenish/blue dotted around look really nice.

I'm not gonna be able to see you working on this and hear your rage against photoshop anymore, but at least i don't have to put up with horrific smoke stench

Actually if you must know Muse actually took the name Supermassive Blackhole and used it as a song title, it referrers to the large blackhole at the center of galaxies which (here comes the science) when compared to normal blackholes are significantly bigger, a normal blackhole is within the tens/hundreds of thousands to a few million solar masses (1 solar mass equals our sun) a supermassive blackhole is roughly several billion solar masses
