An epic battle is about to take place, a lone demon hunter prepare for what is about to be his toughest challenge yet. The rising of a huge Lava Titan which must be stopped before it envelopes the world in fire, this knight is the best at what he does, strong, fearless but he is not beyond pain and suffering.
This knight Thadeus has waited for this day for a long time, the last time the Lava Titan was raised it consumed his home city and his love with it, now he carries a picture of her and her necklace, the last items of her existence now tied to his arm tightly by a white ribbon. This will be a trying time, a final trial of skill and strength, both of body and mind. Who will rise, and who will fall.

An image originally for the new Luminarium exhibit but I pulled it. I watched lord of the rings before painting it and the lighting reflects the style used in the films as does the giant fire beast. A lone demon hunter calmly walks towards the huge beats ready to slay it.
All photoshop, the backgrounds mountains are a mash of several rock and mountain photos and painting.

Yet before reading your coments I knew you were influenced by the Balrog, and the armour of the warrior reminds me of Crisis and Dune, However you did a great job :D
