The third redesigned book cover done for Baen Books, this one is for the republishing of the 1995 book The Fire Rose by Mercedes Lackey. The cover needed to show the main protagonist and antagonist who is a werewolf type guy. End result is suitably cheesy just like the old fashioned fantasy theme
Oh, this is amazing!!! I've been looking for fan art on this story for ages Evidently I must have been looking in the wrong places I just the book, I've read it like a billion times
Thanks, and this isn't fan-art its the new official cover for the book published by Baen Books
Oh I'm sorry, I didn't mean to belittle your work. Now that you mentioned it I do remember seeing it as a cover (definitely preferable to the previous one, in my opinion). Woopsies
This is ...gorgeous *wipes tears off*
love mercedes lackey's obsidian series with James mallory, and equally love just about every piece of cover art you've ever done. keep up the good work. Do you have any favorite books btw?
Thanks I'm glad you like the cover. As for my favorite books War of the Worlds has always been a firm favorite of mine as it was the first sci-fi book I read when I was young, aside form that I'm a big fan of the Greg Bear Halo Forerunner series, very well written.
Very nice ^_^ good choices on both fronts i read some of the original halo books but i haven't gotten to all of the fore runner series, i may have to check it out. Have you read Ender's game and the related books? I suspect if you like Halo you'll appreciate Ender. Anyway, thanks for the feed back! keep up the great work!
This is absolutely amazing. The texture, the warm light, and that wolf face bring so much life to the picture. The Protagonist adds even more epicenes to the entire scene and brings everything together flawlessly. may I ask how long does it take a professional like yourself to create something like this? Also, obtaining that realistic feature, is that more of a texture style layered on top of the rendition, or is it brush strokes and lighting to get a feature such as that?
Dude, Baen Books? Nice!
