Now here is style I have been messing around with. It's essentially a combination of using the lasso, chalk brush, and custom shapes. The results speak for themselves as this painting was done in a little over an hour, other versions took a lot less time but are less refined, I may post them up as one image to show the way the style works in helping build an image. The main technique of using custom shapes was thought up by one of my favourite artist Sparth, I have always found it fascinating how he is able to create such detailed images in such little time and with a lot of detail and verity. It's damn fun to try out but obviously it's not a short cut to making awesome paintings more of a tool to help lay the ground work.
Any chance of a short tutorial with screenshots outlining the steps you've adopted/invented/created from Sparth's original instructions? I sorta get the gist of how he's creating and building a library of shapes from brushes, but I'm getting lost as to how he manipulates and renders them with paths and masking.
