Unjust Fate by AdamBurn Unjust Fate by AdamBurn
A system once home to multiple lush worlds began its slow steady crawl towards its inevitable end several hundred years ago when its star began to die. Now after so long the once lush worlds are nothing but dead barren dusty worlds, their atmosphere faded long ago.
As the worlds float silently in the dark of space, their sun now on the very brink of death, you cant help wondering why, why does it all have to end.............

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is my new Supernova piece, Unjust Fate, Made as part of the new art pack for the group The Luminarium :icontheluminarium:

A very chaotic and fiery image so please no comments about how chaotic and full it is as I was intending for it to be chaotic as an event of this magnitude will be rather chaotic.

I tweaked the explosion on the planets surface thanks to the critique I received on the WIP crop.

Details, tasty tasty details:
Layers: 83 (after merging, about 200 before)
Time: approx 26 hours
Size: 10000x5000
DPI: 500 (don't ask its set as default and I never change it)
Peanut butter KitKats consumed: 6

Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Seriously well done!

Could I possibly get this in 1920x1200 or 1920x1080? I would love for this to fill my 6 monitors when they are not in use! Or, if you could... 3840x2160? Cause that would be sick, my four monitor stack would be this and my two auxilaries would have shuffling images. This is Awesome. The more I sit here and type and glance at it the more I see. How awesome does it look at the full resolution you made it in?

I absolutely love this piece! It was my background on my computer for awhile. I am curious, what filter do you use to give it that "bloom/glassy" effect? I can't quite describe it.

Thats not really a filter its mostly just gradients and overlays to increase the lighting effect, ow and Gaussian blur

At first the bottom right bothered me but now I see it as a giant crop circle.

And the planet textures rock.

Brilliant - youve practically mastered explosions, supernovas - anything that goes "bang", pretty much xD

The planet textures are brilliant, and the additons from the WIP shot work very well :)

But peanut butter KitKats? Bleagh.

Haha, whats wrong with peanut butter kitkats? They are godly. And thanks I think I'm getting good at this whole destruction thing hehe

Everything is wrong with peanut butter kitcats. The concept, for one thing: peanut butter and nice chocolate biscuits (or whatever youd describe a kitcat as :o) should never be allowed even in the same room together!
A can of relentless is all i need for anything i do - now THATS a godly product.

On a slightly more serious note, you should try doing a black hole tearing up some galaxy or something - i think its the only destructive force you havent done yet (as far as i know :D)

Ill go out and buy a peanut butter kitcat if you go and get a can of relentless at some point. Have one, and then try and drink any other sort of energy drink. If you can honestley say anything is better for working, i will eat a box of those horrible kitcats. No joke xD

Oh, and i like the new avatar, too :D

And i thought id point something out on this, its bugging me. the shockwave on the bottom right seems like youve added it and not erased it properly, which looks a bit weird. Sorry, had to find something to critique or id go mad ^^

Best impact/supernova piece ever. Outstanding work. And trust me, I have seen a lot of impact pieces. ;p If I can say anything about the most unimportant of details though, it's that the top of the distant planet where the shockwave ends, it seems a little pixelated on the edges, and the outer glow of the closest planet extends to the edge of the canvas with a fiercer brightness than the inner glow ends up, seeming a little incongruent. Very minor details though, quite negligable. :P

lol, at first, I thought the lighting on the planet was just poorly done, but now I see that its a wave of energy blasting its way across its surface...I havn't seen such an event executed that way, but it was a good idea. Those small bits of blue in the nova really add more heat into it as well.
