Novus AeternoCommentsThese designs are something else. I'm not sure what to say. I like them. A lot.
You say you've left the game studio - will they still be using your concepts? Thanks, and yes I was let go simply because the game has reached a level where my full time position was no longer needed but most of my designs will still be used and for one of the alien races I am still being contracted to do them as I came up with the complex design and no one else can do it haha
I tried to check out the Novus Aeterno website today (I've been there before, so know I have the right URL) and only got a 404 error, even for the root (homepage). Any idea what happened?
I am no longer with the studio but before I left we were going to update the website, I presume that's what they are doing as well setting it up for the beta. Check out the Facebook page for more info, they usually keep it up to date.
I was mostly interested in it because of your art, which I really like.
I noticed that you're pursuing a graphic novel project. How's that going? I'm trying to figure out how to get one of those started myself, but as a producer. A script, originally a screenplay and not written by me, already exists. Not sure where to go from here. Cheers. J.D. The comic series is going well, we have a new publisher with the first issue coming out in a few months as well as a digital version and in talks with some studios for a possible film or TV adaption which is cool, there is a Facebook page which we update now and then.
I originally came up with the idea a few years back and did some artwork for it then a good friend of mine who is a script writer for film got involved as I use to work with him, then we released a short prelude to the main story last year which was very well received and then we got picked up by a publisher. It was all very smooth but it's not always like that, we had a very unique style of comic so people were very interested in getting on board. I saw the sample page for your preview comic. I liked the concept. Will the upcoming novel have U.S. distribution? If so, let me know and I'll buy a copy.
Interestingly enough, I originally happened across your artwork when doing a search for concept art related to another project for the same author that wrote the screenplay I'm trying to see get put into a graphic novel. His name is Daniel Keys Moran. I have a goal of seeing his short story LeftBehind made into a short film. Unfortunately, there's very little in the way of monetization options for short films, so funding the film project takes backfill with something... oh, maybe a graphic novel, say. Luckily, he has a screenplay that's a great fit. Anyhow, I'd be interested to know how your project comes out. If you don't mind, keep me posted. Cheers. J.D. |
