Last matter regarding the fun incident with that guy form Youtube has been resolved, turns out you can solve a lot by simply talking to them privately and extending your hands to invite polite conversation, anyway as with all these situations it was pointless and silly.

Onto other matters, I require some insight into how to make better quality videos and avoid the annoying ratio ignoring saves in Movie Maker, basically any tips you have about making videos. Also any suggestions about what it is you'd like to see :ahoy:
  • Listening to: Halo 4 OST
  • Reading: Halo 4 Art Book
  • Watching: Star Gate SG1
  • Playing: Skyrim
  • Eating: HALO 4!!??!
  • Drinking: Soup

the negatives are :when you see digital art developing this way, you think why should i take the effort of painting and painstakingly learning it when everyone else is doing digitalart the easy way.Take a few snapshots, blend it, then add sharpen. The result will be: you have learned nothing new painting-wise, you have just become a slightly better collage artist.

More halo would be nice, maybe some spartans this time... Or spaceships... cool big ones.
About movie maker, i've been using that for a long time now and have had the same issues (and lots of glitches). Try a higher or lower resolution video, or maybe different file type. _Maybe it's best if you use another editing program.

Some quick tips:

- Use camtasia studio to record - It's really, really good!
- If your PC is good enough, record in HD. It really makes a difference.
- Record in a wide aspect ratio ( I usually only cut the windows bar off ). I know that the layers and the tools don't really need to be in the video, but the whole thing will look better without the black bars in the side. ( btw I see that you tried this but movie maker butchered it, oh well next time! )

I really think the biggest thing is to record in HD, makes all the difference in the world. However this obviously depends on the specs of your pc!

Good luck!

Whilst I'm glad the issue is resolved, if this happens again I hope you don't repeat your reaction of starting a journal stating 'Haters gonna hate' and riling up your watchers into bitching about the person criticising you. Labelling someone a hater and troll (regardless of how pedantic and misinformed their criticisms may be) doesn't help anyone in that sort of situation. The fact is, you're a professional artist and that professionalism should extend through your artistic endeavours.

Now on a more positive note, I hope to see more uploaded videos - if nothing more, they are a great look into how your process and style has changed and how it is evolving.

Your very right, but like with most when in that position rational thought seems to be the first to go, and what he was saying was not correct, it was opinion that he was stating as fact, that is wrong and my replies to him were not violent they simple took what he said and countered it, my opinion. Yes ok the title of the journal and the journal itself was a mistake but I replaced it soon after.

It doesn't help him that his first reaction to a fire is to throw gasoline on it.

Yeah but honestly at first I did as well, not so violently but I shouldn't have replied, I have since extended a truce but whilst he's dropped the argument with me he's still at it with others. sad really.

Probably has had a bad experience with Digital Artists, ergo I saw an article a while ago from a noted traditional artist here in Aus and within it he made out that it was harder for him to compete in a sense with Digital Art. This guy has probably gone through something similar, if I'm going to start psychologically profiling people.

He seems to think that having an argument equals everyone making a big circle and him being in the center swinging his fists. He seems to think that quite literally actually; when anyone replies to him he only throws pejoratives back and declares that he won and asks others to challenge him. Like arguing would be about hurting people and the only difference with internet arguing and real life arguing is that you swear at people instead of using your fists.

You really shouldn't have disabled the comments because that was fun to watch!

Also, +1 for Camtasia.

Hey Adam, the best way to record your videos is to download Camtasia Studio 8 ! It's the best in my opinion, :) Btw, simply ignore those mad guys :D

I had the same problem with standards Windows movie maker on windows 7. I think it is a 2.6 version. I later downloaded Windows movie maker HD as a secondary application, and that fixed the widescreen output issues, plus it is really pretty to work in. The new movie maker is also free and it wont replace the old one. What I found weird, was that you can sign in to it as in your own profile, for some reason,if you want to. But I have no idea why I would do that. So I didnt. Worked fine anyway.
